It’s been a great year to be a superhero. In 2016, films like Captain America: Civil War and Deadpool busted box-office records with their massive hauls, and DC Films was no slacker either. The studio rolled out Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad to adoring fans, and now some of its actors are getting recognized for their work. Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) have been nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award.
This year’s annual event will see the two starlets compete for Best Actress in an Action Movie. The two are joined by Scarlett Johansson for her work in Captain America: Civil War while Tilda Swinton has been nominated for Doctor Strange.
