US-ENTERTAINMENT-FILM-STAR WARS — Kylo — as in Kylo Ren, the villain in 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” — made more gains than any other boys’ name in 2016, jumping from the 3,269th most popular to 901st, according to the Social Security Administration.

It was more or less a given that when “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opened in December of 2015, the film would break box office record after box office record.

But could any of us have predicted that it would send the name Kylo skyrocketing through the ranks of American baby names, from 3,269th place to 901st in 2016? It’s…
