On Thursday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, celebrity lookalikes Will Ferrell (PeekYou profile here), and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith (PeekYou profile here), finally faced off for their long-promised and well-hyped drum battle.

While the observation that they look a bit like one another has been in the air for years, this theatrical acknowledgment of the resemblance, and resulting showbiz feud, came to full fruition when Ferrell wrote in a Reddit AMA this past winter that he and Smith were the same person.

Shots have been fired back and forth in the ensuing months, over social media and elsewhere, with the pair finally agreeing to do the charity drum-off on Fallon this week (PeekYou profile here); with Ferrell raising money for Cancer for College and Smith for Little Kids Rock, respectively.
