What is Dinovember?
Refe Tuma (PeekYou profile here), a Missouri based writer, and his wife have been bringing daily wonder to their children — as well as many of us online — this month with a fairly magical little project they’ve appropriately dubbed Dinovember.
As the Yahoo News article here explains, Dinovember is the month when the Tuma’s small children’s dinosaur toys come to life.
Each morning during the month the children find their restless, nocturnal dinosaurs frozen in the midst of the hijinks they were getting up to the night before; including drawing with crayons, eating, and even tidying up. The dinosaurs may or may not have been posed in these scenes by Tuma and his wife, depending upon what you want to believe.
The #dinovember hashtag has taken Twitter a bit by storm, with many volunteering suggestions and opinions. Tuma explained to Yahoo that the inspiration for Dinovember came from the fact that he doesn’t want his children to “lose their sense of wonder and imagination” in this modern information age. Adding, “childhood is fleeting, so let’s make sure it’s fun while it lasts.”
