Wayne Knight, TV’s Newman, is Very Much Alive and Well

Character actor, Wayne Knight (PeekYou profile here), best known for portraying Jerry Seinfeld’s arch nemesis, Newman, on 90s sitcom Seinfeld, was not tragically killed on Saturday night after losing control of his car and crashing into a disabled tractor trailer. And we couldn’t be happier to report that.

The latest subject of an Internet death hoax, on Sunday morning and afternoon, Knight was trending across Twitter and Facebook — even receiving a sizable write-up on US Magazine‘s site here (which may be down by now) — for his untimely passing.

But, as these tweets from Wayne’s verified Twitter gratefully make clear, he’s alive and well, and maintaining his sense of humor.
