Vikings GM: ‘All our options open’ on Adrian Peterson

INDIANAPOLIS — Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman reiterated Wednesday the team is keeping the door open for the possible return of veteran running back Adrian Peterson. But Spielman stopped short of saying he wants Peterson back.

“I’ll stick to ‘all our options open,'” Spielman told reporters at the NFL scouting combine Wednesday.

Spielman said he had “very positive” conversations with Peterson and his agent over the weekend, but declined to go into details. “I don’t know how all this evolves,” Spielman said, with Peterson on course to hit free agency next week for the first time in his 10-year career.
