Twitter thankful for Aretha Franklin’s long national anthem
Aretha Franklin opened the Thanksgiving game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions with a soaring rendition of the national anthem.
Almost five minutes later, she was still singing.
Wearing a blue Lions beanie and a fur coat, Franklin, 74, seemed to have no intention of keeping it short and sweet as she sat at a piano, playing along.
