Tuesday is Ben & Jerry’s ‘Free Cone Day’

Kim, Obama, Plant, and Ice Cream
Ben & Jerry’s — the Vermont based ice cream company, founded in 1978 by New Yorkers, Ben Cohen, and Jerry Greenfield — is celebrating its anniversary on Tuesday.

To mark the occasion — the 36th anniversary of their first store opening — they’re giving away free ice cream; as they have during every anniversary since 1979.

The chain boasts 742 shops in 26 countries, and they are stocked and ready to hand out literally thousands of free cones; from 12-8pm on Tuesday, April 14.

Research into not only Ben & Jerry’s assorted ice cream exploits, but the varied philanthropic endeavors of the company’s founders, can be explored in depth via the above linked to PeekYou profiles.
