Plymouth, MA Woman Forms Dog Rescue Group
From Plymouth, Massachusetts’ Patch.com blog, we learn of a local woman who is nothing short of a hero for some of our four-legged fellow travelers.
Megan Saucier, of Plymouth, and Katie Montgomery of nearby Somerville, have started Survivor Tails, a group dedicated to rescuing and finding homes for dogs who have been scheduled to be euthanized.
Run entirely by volunteers, thus far they’ve already saved 14 dogs. And they’ve only just begun in their efforts.

NJ Hall of Fame to Induct Joetta Clark Diggs
Patch.com tells us that four time Olympian, and Hillsborough, NJ resident, Joetta Clark Diggs, is being inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
The daughter of famed Patterson, New Jersey high school principal Joe Clark (memorably dramatized in the film Lean on Me), Joetta shares her father’s passion for inspiring youth, and motivating people of all ages to realize their fullest potentials. She spreads her message of positivity and good health through her own Joetta Clark Diggs Sports Foundation, as well as her many appearances as a highly sought after public speaker.

Frank Del Barto Honored for His Work with Veterans
Buffalo Grove, Illinois native, Frank Del Barto, is being presented The John Marshall Law School Alumni Association‘s Distinguished Service Award for his work with veterans.
Del Barto, a graduate of John Marshall Law School, and an associate at the Masuda Funai law firm, has dedicated many pro bono hours to helping veterans resolve claims initially denied by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
An Army veteran himself, Del Barto served in the Army Reserve reaching the rank of captain, and is a graduate of the Airborne and Ranger schools.
