Dolly Parton kicked off the show with the help of Jennifer Nettles with their song “Circle of Love” and then host Carson Daly got into some background footage of the coaches participating in a game night with Jane Lynch. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton wiped the floor with Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus, while singing songs in disguised voices. Then, the top 10 took the stage to hear some results. Sundance Head was asked about the show by Carson Daly and one of the things Sundance said he loved was hanging out with his teammate Austin Allsup. Following Sundance’s kind words, Carson Daly revealed a contestant from Team Adam Levine as safe – Brendan Fletcher. America also saved Sundance Head from Blake Shelton’s team. After a short commercial break, the coaches reflected on the season and talked up their remaining team members. Soon, it was time for more results … and Christian Cuevas from Alicia Keys’ team was the next announced as safe. Next up, from Team Miley Cyrus, Ali Caldwell was announced as making it through to next week. After another short break, more results were announced … revealing a contestant safe from Team Adam – Billy Gilman. Dolly Parton soon returned to perform a special rendition of “Jolene” with Miley Cyrus and Pentatonix. Then, the final full-fledged contestant was announced as safe, and that was Josh Gallagher from Adam Levine’s team. This meant that Courtney Harrell, Austin Allsup, and Aaron Gibson had to sing for the final place in the semi-finals. The three artists performed for America and the coaches each shared their thoughts. Shortly after, it was revealed that Aaron Gibson made it through. (Photo by: Michael Muller/NBC)
