Suge Knight and Katt Williams Arrested

Former Death Row Records president, and rap mogul, Suge Knight, and hugely popular stand-up comedian, Katt Williams, were arrested on Wednesday and charged with allegedly trying to steal a camera from a photographer.

The pair were each charged with one count of robbery in connection with the incident, which occurred in Septmeber, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. Knight, 49, was arrested Wednesday in Las Vegas; Williams, 43, at a California court house where he was due for an arraignment in a separate case.

Beverly Hills police Sgt. Max Subin shared that the investigation began Sept. 5 after Knight and Williams walked out of a studio and came across a photographer. They then allegedly chased her down an alley, and “forcibly” took her camera. The photographer sustained minor injuries in the incident. Knight and Williams were already gone by the time cops arrived on the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing. Subin said detectives were still trying to locate a man and woman who were with Knight and Williams at the time.

A Beverly Hills Police Department lieutenant, Lincoln Hoshino, has has that it is an “ongoing, rapidly evolving investigation.” Adding, “We’re still working the case.”

Prosecutors are seeking to set bail at $1 million for Knight and $75,000 for Williams. CNN writes more on this story here.
