Rapper Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was arrested Thursday evening by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with a “violent home invasion” of music producer Ramsay Tha Great.

NBC Los Angeles reported the incident occurred on Jan. 19, and Keef allegedly assaulted the producer during the robbery, in which armed men stole cash, a Rolex, and other valuables from Ramsay.

“It was a violent home invasion involving firearms being pointed at victims,” LAPD Capt. Brian Pratt told the station. “The detectives did some really great follow up investigation. Witnesses came forward and identified who our suspects were. We knew who we were going after — we weren’t just shooting in the dark.”
