Brooklyn, NY – Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) and Talib Kweli — collectively known as Black Star — have announced they’ll be closing out 2018’s Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival on July 14.
The performance comes with a panel on “The Making of the Black Star Album,” which will detail the behind-the-scenes of the duo’s seminal (and only) album, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star, which turns 20 in September. More
Venom‘s full trailer has been released, and as well as finally giving us a proper look at Tom Hardy in symbiote mode, it’s revealed an awful lot about the plot of Sony’s Spider-Man villain spinoff.
The first in what the studio hopes to be a full-on shared universe, there’s been a lot of mystery and confusion over what exactly Venom is: what is Tom Hardy bringing? Is it in the MCU? How do you make a movie about a villain? The first teaser trailer thus got a rather mixed response from fans given its complete lack of Venom, but also the overall monotone stylings. David Irving‘s girlfriend, Angela Sanchez, has retracted claims of domestic abuse. Frisco (Texas) police began investigating Sanchez’s allegations after she called them twice Sunday night.
Sanchez said in a statement she lied to police because she was “emotional and upset.” More
