‘Our newest Wolverine’: Jim Harbaugh announces the ‘early’ birth of a fourth son

Jim Harbaugh recently claimed that he had slept through the national championship game between Clemson and Alabama. Here’s hoping the Michigan coach has gotten plenty of shut-eye, because, with the arrival of a new child, sleep may be hard to come by.

On Wednesday, Harbaugh announced the birth of a baby boy, who has been named John. The infant arrived “early,” the coach said, and thus weighs less than normal for a newborn, at 4 pounds 13 ounces.

Arriving early, weighing in at 4 lb 13 oz, with an 18 in wing span, our newest Wolverine teammate, John Harbaugh. Precious… God is good…

“Who’s got it better than us?” has long been a Harbaugh family catchphrase, one the Michigan coach wrote about chanting during his childhood. He also bellowed it last summer…
