None injured following Michigan team plane accident, says school

An airplane carrying the Michigan men’s basketball team was involved in an accident on Wednesday afternoon but no one was injured, the school said in a statement.

According to the school, the team’s plane, which was headed to the Big Ten tournament in Washington, D.C., was attempting to take off in high winds at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The takeoff was aborted and, after braking strongly, the plane slid off the runway.
