Led Zeppelin to Reissue Early Albums with Unreleased Songs

According to Rolling Stone, legendary British rock combo, Led Zeppelin (special PeekYou profile here), will be giving their eponymous, albeit numbered, first three LPs the deluxe reissue treatment — replete with previously unreleased tracks — this summer.

The releases will be the first installments of what the group describes as an “extensive reissue program.” Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page (PeekYou profile here), has already remastered all nine of the group’s studio albums, and deluxe packages are eventually to be released for the whole lot.

In a statement, quoted by Rolling Stone, Page said: “The material on the companion discs presents a portal to the time of the recording of Led Zeppelin. It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions and new material recorded at the time.”
