Kanye West’s Doctor’s 911 Call Released, Operator Says to Keep Any Weapons Away

Dispatchers told Kanye West‘s doctor to keep any weapons away from the rapper during the incident at his trainer’s home, according to newly released audio of the doctor’s 911 call.

In the one-minutem 24-second clip, published by TMZ on Thursday, December 1, West’s physician, Dr. Michael Farzam, describes the “Famous” rapper’s condition. At the beginning of the call, Farzam identifies himself as one of West’s doctors and requests police backup in addition to paramedics.

Around the two-minute mark, someone says, “Sir, if you can just keep an eye on him … don’t let him get any weapons or anything like that. If anything changes, if he does become physically combative between now and when the police and/or paramedics get there, call us back.”

The Los Angeles Times reports that portions of the call were redacted to “prevent the disclosure of confidential health information.”
