Kanye West Released From Hospital: ‘He Is Home Getting Some Rest’

Kanye West has been discharged from UCLA, where he has been under heavy medical supervision since being admitted on Nov. 21, PEOPLE confirms.
“He is home, getting some rest,” a source close to West tells PEOPLE.
West, 39, was hospitalized for exhaustion and sleep deprivation shortly after he canceled the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour, and remained there over the Thanksgiving holiday. Sources close to the rapper insist that he was not committed against his wishes.
“He went to the hospital at will under the advice of his physician,” a source told PEOPLE, adding that the entertainer “was not restrained” and “went freely.”
Wife Kim Kardashian West, who had been in New York City to attend an event honoring her late father, Robert Kardashian, returned to Los Angeles to be by West’s side as he recovered from his physical and emotional meltdown.
“The only person Kanye trusts is Kim,” a source previously told PEOPLE. “Kim does spend hours with Kanye every day.” A family insider says that the episode has left Kardashian West, 36, feeling “overwhelmed” and concerned about West’s relationship with their children, North, 3, and Saint, 11 months.
