Federal Reserve vice-chairman, Janet Yellen (PeekYou profile here), has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate — with a vote of 56 to 26 in her favor — to succeed Ben Bernanke as the Fed’s head honcho when his second term wraps up at the end of this month.
