Ed Sheeran Serenades Fan in Her Last Moments

We’ll admit that we weren’t entirely familiar with hugely popular, GRAMMY nominated singer, Ed Sheeran (PeekYou profile here), but we’re impressed as heck by what we’ve just learned about him.

Triona Priestly was a Dublin teenager, dying of cystic fibrosis. She was also an enormous fan of Sheeran’s. To make a last wish come true for her, Priestly’s family and friends took to Twitter to get Sheeran’s attention; employing the #songfortri hashtag, which eventually started to trend.

Soon enough, a call was arranged between Triona and Sheeran, and over the phone he sang to her “Little Bird”, her favorite song, as she slipped into sleep. She passed away shortly thereafter.
