Chris Brown Released from Jail

Chris Brown
Enormously popular R&B singer, Chris Brown (PeekYou profile here), was released from Los Angeles County jail, early Monday morning, according to authorities.

Brown was put away this past March, after violating the rules of a court appointed rehab and getting arrested. He was originally sentenced to a year in county, but was given nearly eight months credit for his time spent in rehab and jail, as well as a reward for his good behavior while incarcerated.

Brown was on probation for attacking then-on-again/off-again girlfriend, and fellow superstar singer, Rihanna (PeekYou profile here); just prior to the 2009 Grammy Awards. In October, while on probation, Brown violated its terms by getting into an altercation with a man outside of a Washington D.C. hotel. He was charged with misdemeanor assault.

CBS News reports of things more in depth here.

Brown had been in the midst of completing his follow-up album to 2012’s Fortune. The album will be his sixth, and it’s at this time to be called X. There’s no word at this time on when it may be finished or released.
