Angel Olsen adds tour dates, including opening gigs for little-known band Arcade Fire
Can you hear the heavenly host singing? It’s because the amazing Angel Olsen is gliding your way soon. This summer and fall, she’ll be swooping across the country with her six-piece squad, kicking up dust and taking names in places like Minneapolis, Austin, Oakland, and St. Louis. Notably, the Oakland, San Diego, L.A., and Las Vegas shows will be opening gigs for up-and-coming, Montreal-based ensemble Arcade Fire, who will continue trying to push through their relative obscurity and break out at the national level. Hopefully, their partnership with Olsen will help make them a household name.
Speaking of Olsen (and not Arcade Fire), Olsen is still touring in support of her 2016 album My Woman, which topped many year-end charts last year and expanded the sounds and scope of her excellent, half-melancholy/half-ecstatic 2014 album Burn Your Fire For No Witness. Arcade Fire’s new album, meanwhile, will be the next album after their last album. Couldn’t find the titles of either of those, sorry.
Angel Olsen…
