The Fowlers
One recent, inspiring tale which has gained traction throughout the Web is that of Willie and Carol Fowler, and their daughter Tamara.

Gawker tells the story here, but the basics are that the Fowlers had planned and paid for a big wedding for Tamara which, for undisclosed reasons, had to be cancelled. Rather than let all that food and money go to waste, the Fowlers turned the would-be reception into a banquet for 200 Atlanta-area homeless men, women, and children.
