‘Bachelor’ star Chris Soules’ legal team says he acted ‘reasonably’
The law firm hired by “Bachelor” star Chris Soules to represent him after his fatal car accident earlier this week released a new statement Thursday defending the reality star.
“Soules’ 911 call, released yesterday, proved that the initial knee-jerk coverage of this accident was incorrect,” Des Moines, Iowa, firm Parrish Kruidenier said in a statement to the Daily News.
In the 911 call, a frantic and winded Soules, 35, tells the dispatcher he rear-ended a man in a tractor with his Chevy pickup truck, and checks the victim’s pulse before hanging up the phone and leaving the scene. The victim, later identified as 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher, died at the hospital, and Soules was arrested hours later at his house and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
His attorneys cite Soules’s cooperative phone call as reason to believe the Iowa-bred farmer did all he could do to help the victim.
