The Trailer for Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ Reminds Us that Pixar is Great

Inside Out
If most studios attempted a trailer of this sort, we’d all shake our heads in disbelief and aggravation. But when Pixar does it, it seems perfectly reasonable.

The trailer to which we’re referring, which you can view below, is for the groundbreaking digital animation stalwart’s upcoming summer release, Inside Out.

The trailer uses a montage of Pixar‘s numerous, previous — and frankly undeniable — classics to illustrate the breadth of human emotion. Fear, happiness, sadness, etc., are brought to life by memorable moments from the likes of Toy Story, Up, and Wall-E.

All of this leads to the reveal of the film’s focus, the cast of emotions made manifest in anthropomorphic form — voiced by the likes of Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, and Mindy Kaling — residing in a little girl’s mind.

The flick, which is likely to be good-to-great, and even more likely to make a mint, is coming to theaters on June 19th of 2015.
