The Most Buzzed About U.S. Winter Olympians, and Their PeekScores

Bode Miller
The XXII Olympic Winter Games, or as they will more often be called, The 2014 Winter Olympics, are now upon us, and — while some competition is already underway as of this writing — the opening ceremony will take place (or has taken place, depending on when you’re reading this) on Friday in Sochi, Russia.

While PeekYou serves the world, and our focus is the global community that is the World Wide Web, we are an American company and don’t mind publicly rooting for our home team at least a little bit. In keeping with this, the PeekScore list below is one of a local focus; although the locality under examination spans from sea to shining sea.

In the run-up to the games there have been numerous essays, articles, and think-pieces popping up in every publication and blog, touting lists and slideshows of “Olympians to Watch,” and the like. We’ve taken the names most frequently buzzed and bandied about in all of this hype, and have compiled a list of our own. But, to put our twist on it, we’ve sorted these impressive young women and men not by their assorted likelihoods of medaling, but by their PeekScores; which speak not to athletic prowess, nor resolve and character, but to the varying degrees each of these athletes are prominent, present, and making an impact here in cyberspace.

This particular group of jocks are all active participants in their digital lives; maintaining — or having maintained on their behalves — frequently updated social pages, across multiple platforms, and personal websites. Clicking the individual items on the list below will lead you to the corresponding athlete’s PeekYou page; where you will find videos, articles, interviews, social pages, pictures, stats, and much more.
