Gators’ DE Jordan Sherit latest UF defender out with injury

UF DT Joey Ivie 'heartbroken' after FSU
UF’s 31-13 loss at FSU left senior defensive tackle Joey Ivie demoralized. But Ivie still believes the Gators can give top-ranked Alabama a game Saturday in the SEC title game.

The Florida Gators‘ defense will compete without at least one more starter during Saturday’s SEC title game against top-ranked Alabama.

Coach Jim McElwain said end Jordan Sherit is out due to an injury suffered during the third quarter of UF’s 31-13 loss at Florida State.

UF tackle Caleb Brantley rolled into the right knee of Sherit, who was examined on the field and then helped by two athletic trainers to the locker room.
