Ronda Rousey Says She Could Beat Floyd Mayweather in an MMA Fight

Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey (PeekYou profile here), currently the biggest name in women’s MMA, and the undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion, is trending as we write this for recently saying that she could hold her own, in an MMA bout, against similarly undefeated boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (PeekYou profile here).

In the interview, with Power 106 FM (which we’ve included below), she described the strategy she’d employ in the theoretical skirmish:

“I would drop down to the ground and crawl over to him as fast as I can,” Rousey said. “I wouldn’t even stand up, I wouldn’t be near him. I would just do a little army crawl over there… I would just be skittering after him like the one dude in Bloodsport that was doing the whole monkey crawl fight system. I would do that. I would just bear crawl over there, too low for him to hit me, and tackle him down.”

While we’re not sure how she’d fare in that encounter, we’re entirely confident she could kick all of our butts. So, we’ll choose to agree with her and move on.
