RIP Harold Ramis

Ziskey Rates the Russians
Harold Ramis (PeekYou profile here), director of such classic films as Caddyshack and Groundhog Day, star and co-writer of such hit films as Stripes and Ghostbusters, former cast member and original head writer of SCTV, and a man of a great many other accomplishments and credits of note, has died — due to complications from autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis — at age 69.

There is no single clip we could provide that would even come close to summarizing the positively gigantic career of this comedic genius, so instead we’re providing one we simply happen to like; an odd 1977 clip, from SCTV‘s early days.

To learn more about Mr. Ramis’ sizable and estimable body of work, head on over to his PeekYou profile; where you’ll be led to videos, articles, interviews, and much more.

NOTE: Please forgive the censored photo. We are a “family” blog, yet we could think of no better image for this memorial
