new record for opening day ticket sales for a R-rated movie with the premiere of
Deadpool. Deadpool unseated not long ago established record holder
Fifty Shades of Gray. In the ongoing saga between “chick flicks” vs “fan boy” and Marvel vs DC Comics, Deadpool again shows why Marvel rules.
The Deadpool character is a great fit for Reynolds’ well versed sarcastic tone and delivery. This combination makes the movie both edgy and darkly humourous; with many one-liners that will produce many a smile-ish smirk. Worth the time to see.
