Chris Pratt Not Among those Who have Forgotten About Dre

Parks and Recreation‘s Chris Pratt is having one heck of a week.

This past weekend, Guardians of the Galaxy — in which he plays the lead — did bananas box office, and may very well have found the 35-year old actor becoming an overnight, bona fide movie star.

But it seems he’s got other talents as well, and a clip of him demonstrating at least one of them has gone viral. Fans of Parks already know of Chris’ gifts for lampooning Eddie Vedder-derived “earnest” rock, but it seems he can also vaguely approximate the flow of one Mr. Marshall Mathers.

During an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on his radio show, Whoolywood Shuffle, Pratt shared of his love of hip-hop, specifying his youthful fascination with Dr. Dre‘s 2001 album.

“Me and my friend lived in a van in Maui and we listened to that… every day,” he elaborated. Adding, “I know every word to that album.” When called upon to demonstrate this knowledge, he proceeded to effortlessly perform Eminem’s verse from the track “Forgot About Dre,” to the great pleasure of all in the studio.

Check out the interview below, which features other highlights such as Pratt having a chuckle over the thought of Justin Bieber being punched by Orlando Bloom.
