Ben & Jerry’s Releases New ‘Core’ Flavors, and Blows Our Minds

B and J Core
Ben & Jerry’s — the Vermont based ice cream company, founded in 1978 by New Yorkers, Ben Cohen (PeekYou profile here), and Jerry Greenfield (PeekYou profile here) — is trending at the moment for the unveiling of its new line of Core flavors.

While as a standalone brand-name Core may not sound terribly appetizing, what the various flavors actually entail sounds insanely appealing. The basic concept is a pint of ice cream with a column of fudge, caramel, raspberry jam, or whatever, running through the center of it; as illustrated in the photograph above.

Come on, now. That’s buzzworthy.

The launch flavors for the line are Hazed & Confused, Peanut Butter Fudge, Salted Caramel, and That’s My Jam. We’ll leave it to you to either research and/or guess at what those flavors actually involve, but they all sound pretty good to us.

Research into not only Ben & Jerry’s assorted ice cream exploits, but the varied philanthropic endeavors of the company’s founders, can be explored in depth via the above linked to PeekYou profiles.
